I got an early morning call last December 30 from my sister, informing me that they’ll be coming over to celebrate and welcome the 2012 in our home together with our eldest brother. DH and I agreed since it’ll be more convenient for us all ’cause our place is spacious enough to accommodate them, instead of us going to their place.

They came around before lunch, December 31. We had a great lunch treat from our Kuya,  had Pixies Inihaw na Bangus, Pancit Canton, Lumpiang Shanghai and Hototay soup from Little Ongpin.

And so the drinking session began as early as 1 p.m

We all went to sleep around 9 p.m and we were up a few minutes before midnight to welcome 2012! But.. the little boys (Nicco and cousin Dwyane) were in deep slumber and wouldn’t wake up. LOL!

The boys (Kuya, DH and my  BIL) lighten up the fire crackers and fountain when the clock hit 12:00 a.m to welcome 2012 loud and bright!

We ( my sister and niece) did make some chika until 2:30 am. We all woke up around 6 am and amazed to see the orange-y color of the sun.

We went to DH’s Uncle at Las Pinas and had a sumptuous lunch together with my two SIL and their family.

 

And the kids had to do the yearly tradition ( find their gifts under the tree)

It was great first day for 2012! Hope it will be a blessing filled-year to all of us! I wish for a sick-free, travel/vacation for the family this year. May we be able surpass again all problems and challenges. Hoping for a bright year  to us. Cheers to 2012!
